How does the SMS tier pricing work?

SMS pricing is based on the amount you pay in one purchase. Bands: KES 1 – 1,000 → KES 0.80/credit; KES 1,001 – 5,000 → KES 0.70/credit; KES 5,001 – 20,000 → KES 0.60/credit; KES 20,001 – 50,000 → KES 0.50/credit; and above KES 50,000 → KES 0.40/credit. Credits = amount paid ÷ rate. Example: paying KES 3,500 at the KES 0.70 rate gives you 5,000 credits. All prices are VAT inclusive. The rate is applied automatically at checkout based on how much you spend.

What's the difference between QR WhatsApp and Official Meta API?

The QR connection lets you link your existing WhatsApp number in 30 seconds without any business verification, and is subscription-based (weekly/monthly/yearly). However, it may violate Meta's terms and could result in your number being restricted or banned. The Official Meta API requires a WhatsApp Business number and pre-approved templates, offers a green tick, and is billed per message by category (marketing/utility/authentication). We set both up with you for a one-time KES 5,000 and KES 500/month maintenance for the Meta API. We strongly recommend the Official Meta API for long-term reliability.

What is included in the USSD platform fee?

The KES 4,500/month covers access to the USSD platform, dashboard, custom USSD code, interactive menu builder, API integration, webhook support, and 24/7 support. Session charges (payable to telecom/aggregator) are billed separately based on usage.

Can I use my own USSD shortcode?

Yes, you can either use a shared code (e.g., *657*50#) or register your own dedicated shortcode through us. Additional telecom charges may apply for dedicated codes.
